Inaika just brushed her hand off her shoulder and turned away, "That's how demons usual act, don't they?" she said sarcastically.

Inaika hid it, but she was startled and furious at herself for not being able to detect the elf before she got too close. She had little experience in detecting other magical creatures around her.

"What do you want? I've done nothing."

 

Petra smiled.
"I know why you're here little one. You wish to pass the test. You know of what I speak. You see, my half-brother was part demon on his fathers side, so I know a little on their ways of life."
Petra was unsure of what Inaika was thinking about all this, she couldn't tell. She continued, "I will help anyone who can make it worth my while, I care not who I betray or hurt."
Inaika would most likely be a little surprised at this remark.
Elves, especially the flight and earth species, were usually noble and trustworthy. But not this one.
"Don't go thinking I give a damn whether or not you pass this test of yours. I give a damn about money.
I cannot yet know what the princess wants with all this but I can find out, they're far more likely to tell an honourable flight-elf than a suspicious Demon girl."
Petra outstetched her hand, "You won't get far in your test should the other demons find out about this, so lets just keep quiet about this for both our sakes. Tell anyone, and the demons will find out. But keep quiet and..." Petra made a zip motion over her mouth, "I will tell no-one as will you. But I need pay. Money of some sort, or jewels. I'll leave it up to you.
Do we have a deal?"

 

Ikaika pondered Petra's request, "A flight elf who only cares about money...i can use this to my advantage maybe. The clan just ordered me to retreive the info, not how to retreive it."

"I'll consider it. You get the info and come back to me. Then I'll decide if I can pay you for it or not. But i agree, this is strictly between us and you better be discreit(sp?) about it." Inaika said without even turning around, ignoring Petra's hand.

 

ooc: ok, for the record, i wasn't on anyone's back! i just think it'd be easier if we worked together! if this continues... this RPG will be useless and i will kill the damn thing, but pardon my pissy-ness, i'm in a bad mood.... BAI!

 

Petra lowered her hand, chuckling, "Oh my, you're even more antisocial than you look..." She stood up, "but don't get too comfortable in this partnership, I'll change sides in an instant if it'll be to my advantage.... Or...." She flapped her wings slightly, "I'll just carry out my little disappearing act..."
Her voice became far more military-sounding, like it usually was when she was around others. "We meet here before sunrise tommorow. Bring me a reward and no blood or beans will have to be spilled. Remember that"
Petra flapped away into the distance. Leaving Inaika alone.

 

ooc: right um...the rest of us are still standing around while a monster or something is attacking...hmmm and theres not much Tailki can do about it besides what he's already done...somebody help!!

 

ooc: My, my, my. The bitterness in this rpg is completely mind-boggling. But if it is alright with everyone, I would like to join. If not then just ignore this post.

ic: A lone figure and her mount walked into the clearing where Lance and the monster stood. She was clad in a white silk dress divided for riding, with silver fastenings. Her mount, and saddle stood in likeness to her attire. Waist length, wavy, dark hair and violet eyes contrasted her outfit completely. Sighing and shaking her head she watched the demon drive Lance farther and farther back. Pulling a flute out of one of her saddle bags, she began to play a mezmorizing tune and the beast immidiately turned its attention to her. It watched her for several moments, head cocked to the side in an attentive manner, before turning and walking back into the forest. Putting the ivory instrument back in its case she turned to address the fighter and blinked in surprise when she realized he stood next to her. "You bloody scared the wits out of me! Dont ever do that again!"

ic: "What happened?", Tailki asked, as the demon left to the forest.
They all ran over to Lance and the girl.
"Wow! How'd you do that? Who are you?", Tailki asks her.

 

ooc: No problem! Always here to help. I am gonna use the same character from shadows of darkness and dragon tamers.

ic: "I am called Elora Donovan of the house of Galian, daughter of the high Lord Ralmeen and the Lady Salene." She grinned giving them all an amuzed look, "I cannot tell you how I drove the monster back, it is something my people do not speak of. Now may I have the honor to know of whom I am adressing?"

 

Mika stayed with the Princess Emica, noteven paying heed to the newcomer's presence. "......... Princess..... Shall we get you home before this gets out of hand?" She stood, the Princess following her lead as they begun to head into the forest again,putting out the fire.

"But.... M'Lady Mika.... What about food and rest?" She looked back at the others, "And what about them?"

"don't worry about them. and we will eat on the way...." She handed her a few peices of bread. "Now, let's go."

 

"...Who...me??...I'm Tailki!", Tailki said then he looked behind him and saw the princess leaving, "Hey guys...she's leaving without us."
Everyone looked and started after her.

 

"No.... wait. Why are you all following us?!?!?!?!" She stops and turns around.

 

Petra landed in front of Mika and tilted her chin up to face her, "little Miss Mika, please do not leave without saying goodbye." she then held out her hand, "or paying for my loyal services." and finally, she looked at her straight in the eyes, with a deadly stare that could send a dragon cowering to it's cave, "or at least tell your loyal servant of many years excactly what the hell is going on!"

 

"...why wouldn't we follow you, Princess?", Tailki asks.

 

"Heh. Alright, sorry...." She looks right back into Perta's eyes.

 

"So where to?", Tailki asks.

 

Petra turned her back on Mika, "Who cares? I am the princess's bodygaurd and battle tutor, I gotta' go where she does. It is my job after all."

 

Tailki looked to the princess questionably as to where she was going to lead them.

 

"I am to retrieve and return Emica to her home!" Mika walks off, the Princess closely following.
