"Well, we can take it slow and just catch up on things." Raziel suggested.

 

*Reina*
"Yes I'd like to rest." Reina said.
*Athena*
Athena glared at Roneri and said, "Even if I did know of any possible recruits, I wouldn't tell you where they are."

OOC: Sorry the post is so short and i'm sorry that i haven't posted as frequently as i used to in in training for the U.S. Army. I have to lose a little more weight before i can enlist.

 

"Okay, come this way." Setsaki showed Reina to her room, this one was very nice, it had lavish furnishings and a large mirror with a solid gold frame, the bed was about the size of a king, but a bit larger.

"Hope you enjoy it, it was mom and dad's room a while back."

When Setsaki closed the door, he walked into the living room where above the fireplace, hung a large painting of the family, he stood there, staring at it.

His entire family looked so happy, everyone had not a care in the world. His parents looked so strong, his mother always looked so warming and welcome, and his father was obviously caring for his children because he was showing such affection before the painting, Setsaki could remember.

And there he stood, exactly 9 years to the day ago. He looked onward, not showing a bit of love or care for his family. Next to him, in their father's lap, sat Reina, not but one-year-old, she had her best sunday dress on and was smiling as big as she could.

"Brings back memories," Setsaki smiled, "But I remember smiling the day of that portrait, wasnt I?"

 

While still hugging Raziel, Charliase took out a dagger and placed it to his neck so that if he moved he had a chance of killing himself. "Why did you leave me alone to fend for myself? Leaving me to die? I think it's time to repay what you did to me..."

 

Raziel was shocked to see this change.

"How soon you forget and so little you have learned," Raziel said. He phased to a few of feet away.
"What are you talking about? What did I do to you?" Raziel snarled.

 

Roneri glared. She stopped and pulled Athena's arm, forcing her past Roneri. She snarled and pushed her agianst a wall, "Don't mess with me, you stupid little girl." She stopped and pushed of the wall, moving a few feet away from Athena, "I'm not in the mood to beat you down so..." She stopped as she hard more voices.
Who she thought was Raziel. She didn't intervene though. She just moved a little closer, shooting one last glance at Athena, making sure she would stay quiet.
'What could he be doing...' she thought. She would have to wait and see.

Charliase took her dagger into her other hand. "Raziel, stop acting like a fool, you're definitely not getting me. I know that you joined Darius' forces and then left my family, yet you knew that you were our source of food and income, the only way for my family to receive anything. But what did you do? Give us up for some group and in the long run, I had to watch the brutal suffering of the people that had loved and taken care of me so well, but you never knew this since you never came back to us. I vowed to my family that I would repay what you had done to us, and it has come to this."

 

"If you would like to be foolish and attack me then go ahead, but you should know that I am far stronger and faster than you." Raziel muttered.

He glared at her. "I came here to expand my business empire but I had failed. If you noticed, this city is in ruins due to someone I know. Then, looking for a job, I joined Darius in hopes to start over. I thought you would be fine, but I guess that something happened while I was away that you could not stop." He looked at her with sorrow.

 

"You may say you're stronger but I have grown since you last saw me, my magic has increased, and I can still beat you any day fighting with a blade. We replaced you with someone new. But I ended up losing something very dear to myself instead." Charliase swept her hair off her shoulder, and exposed a tattoo of a snake crawling on it that crawled all the way down to her arm to a ring on her ring finger...

 

Raziel said "Hmmm so do you really want to do this? I'm not in the mood for fighting. I have no time for it either. If I knew you would do this then I would have suggested that you did not come and find me. Also I take it that this new person was not as strong as me because of what you said happened."

"So if you don't mind, I have to take my leave." Raziel jumped and was about to phase away.

 

*two hours later*

Felicia woke up, feeling refreshed. She took a moment to remember everything, another to pray, then walked out into the front rooms. There she saw Setsaki. She half-smiled. Waiting by the door so as not to intrude, she softly tapped the door with her knuckles to draw his attention to her.

 

"Wait, I have something to tell you." Charliase pushed her hair behind her ears "I want to become a vampire. Its the only way to get rid of this marking that binds me to someone else. Please, Raziel, I don't want to stay like this..."

 

"Hmmph, I'm sorry but I can't trust you enough to get that close anymore." Raziel said. "You lost your chance already unless you can prove your worth again."

 

Roneri wrinkled her nose and turned away.
I'll have to keep an eye on him... She though.
She looked at Athena, "Let's go."
She walked away with a grin.
If Raziel won't change that girl, I will. And I won't make it easy for her.

 

*Reina*
Reina awoke with a start and she quickly calmed herself down. She then tried to remember what in her dream had startled her and when she failed to remember she sighed and went to find Felicia and her brother. She wanted to ask him if Athena had already been banished from their family and if not why wasn't she in the portrait.

*Athena*
Athena wrenched her arm out of Roneri's grasp but continued to follow Roneri despite wanting to run as far away from her as she could. She reminded herself that she was doing this for Leon but thinking of him and how they were so far apart hurt her heart especially since he had thought her some other girl. She kept the hurt out of her face so Roneri wouldn't be able to see it but she couldn't keep it out of her heart.
"Ah!" Athena gasped in surprise, she felt like she was suffocating and she clutched her hands close to her heart. It seemed that her pain was paralyzing her.

 

Setsaki turned his head to Felicia and said, "Well hello, I hope you had a nice sleep."

Setsaki turned to the hallway, "We're in the living room Reina."

He turned back to Felicia, "So, I suspect you might need some new equipment, do you need clothes, weapons, armor, anything?"

 

"Fine. I don't need you. I never needed you." She ran quickly away and headed out for other vampires who could help her...

Darius watched as Leon righted a vehicle from the days before mankind became sidenote in the annals of history. Amazingly, it worked. "My friend seems to have found a new toy." He said to Vincent. "I suppose it can't do any harm to let him have it." Darius found it funny that human technology would outlive the human race. He realized what a great asset these things could be, especially the vestigial military devices left behind by the years of war.

"That's a very nice machine, my pupil, but we must continue, I can sense some humans holed up in one of these houses. Let's find them, maybe they can offer some entertainment."

 

Raziel grabbed her and shouted. " Fine, if it will make you happy, I will. I'd rather have you turned by me than any other vampire."

 

Roneri smiled.
She looked back at Athena.
"I can't decide whether to leave you there or to help you..." she said, entertained. She folded her arms, "But," she said in a sigh, "I suppose Darius would be rather disappointed if I took away his only key to keeping Leon in line."
In all the time she spoke, her smile never left her lips. She walked over to Athena and held out her wrist, "I suppose it's time for you to feed."
And all it'll take is just one little bite....
Now she spoke to Athena through her mind.
The thought of Athena feeding off of her for a little while didn't please her very much but she wouldn't mind it. Not this time. She really didn't feel like watching someone useful, even if just a little, die for no reason.
