For a moment, Roneri was considering slapping Athena, but she didn't. She knew it wouldn't help. She stood up, looking down at Athena.
"Then...you will never have him." She stopped for a moment and looked to the side, "Just sitting around and waiting for him to get over her won't do anything for you." She half-closed her eyes.
I should know.... she thought to herself.

"Hello. An order was sent to me for me to meet Athena," Amanda looked and approached the two. "Which of you was I sent to meet?"

Roneri glanced at her from behind. She had changed her mood once more to the same harsh second in command of the vampire king, her glare piercing. She stepped in front of Athena. She took the note from Amanda and read it. She looked at Amanda and nodded, "She's Athena. But I'm watching."

 

Amanda looked to both.

<This is so very strange.> Amanda thought.

“Well, the note never told me what to come here for.” Amanda looked at them and almost fell back but caught herself and sat. She looked up at them and looked for any sort of expression when Athena and Roneri were talking with each other. She looked down to the floor and pulled a duffel of her stuff from her back, her slender past-deathly pale face shining like a ghost in the moonlight.

She reached in and looked around in the bag then quit. Amanda sighed and spoke up. “If you don’t mind me interrupting, are there any humans around here? I haven’t eaten in the 3 days and 4 nights I have been traveling.” She didn't look up to the now silent vampires. She sat and waited.

 

Raziel sensed a strange presence and scanmed around. He didn't notice anyone, but he did feel something there. He headed toward the building behind him to get a better view of the area.

 

Charliase yanked the necklace off of Raziel and tossed it away. Then she walked away. She waited until someone else following Darius could help her...

Felicia nodded. "Agreed."

 

Darius stood before the door he knew that he would not be able to enter, but the halfling would. He could sense the strength of the people within. He didn't know if Leon could handle them on his own. "Aldoux, its time for that combat training I had mentioned. Inside this house are the enemies of our country. Destroy them."

"Meanwhile you and I," Darius said to Vincent, "shall concentrate our energies on consuming the house with flame." He said this as he started flames within the structure.

 

Setsaki smiled. "Alright, follow me."

They walked for about 2 minutes until they reached a door with runes plated in gold. "Come on in," Setsaki said as he opened the door, "Its quite a nice arena, if I do say so myself."

It was a giant room with a fighting arena roughly 100 by 100 Meters squared. On the arena, there was painted an octagon enclosed in a circle, on each of the octaons was painted the Japanese symbol for the eight elements. Fire, Lightning, Earth, Dark, Water, Ice, Wind, and Light. Each seemed to be painted in blood.

Surrounding the arena was a large orchard of cherry blossoms, fully blossomed. Also, on each corner of the arena, there was, suspended in air, a stone about Setsaki's size.

"Did you know that this is where they used to hold the annual Tournament of Magic?"

Setsaki looked around and then walked towards one of the cherry blossoms, he took off his shirt and tightened his pants. "Helps me fight better."

Across the room from his, was a rack of weapons, but not ordinary weapons, each one looked almost godly and they seemed completely new. He walked up and picked up a staff which appeared to be made of wood, on it were the eight elemental symbols and on each end of the staff, there was implanted a ruby, emerald, and sapphire. He put the staff back and pulled his rapier from its sheath.

The silver blade cut throught the air with almost no resistance as he twirled it. "Well, should we spar with weapons first or second? Be warned though, without weapons, my best offense will be magic."

 

Soft, mirthful laughter escaped past Felicia's lips. She had not expected so elaborate a room for training. "Well, in my defense, I've only had minimal experience with weapons."

She walked to the weapons rack and picked up a simple, long staff. "Let's just get the weapons fight over and done with. I'll be less humiliated by the end of the second 'match'."

 

Setsaki looked around, "Did you know we aren't inside my house anymore? We are actually on a place that used to be the country of Old America. Reina is half the wotld away from us as we speak. The Senzuki mansion is a very small home, but it is filled with door that serve as portals to different places. I can sense that people are outside my house now, but they can do no harm." Setsaki glaced at Felicia, "I have sent a messenger raven to fly to Reina and tell her these things, that she is safe and she should not, whatever she does, come out of the place she is in now. But don't worry, I won't leave my sister in anyplace I haven't already tested to be safe."

Setaki chuckled, "Alright, now, follow me." Setsaki held his rapier and walked up on the platform.

When they were both on opposite sides of the platform, Setsaki got in a fighting stance. "Ready."

"Go!"

Setaki ran up to Felicia and swung his sword five times. Then, he backed off a bit and used a spell, "On baronates onvatsu!" With that, a good collection of wind razors launched themselves at Felicia.

 

Athena walked over to Amanda and then said, "I am Athena, as I have already stated, and I do not know why you were sent to me. You are obviously vampiric but I've only just become a vampire maybe about a few hours ago. Unless... who sent you?"

 

Amanda looked blankly to Athena and said straight out "I don't know who sent me. Someone that I never met before told me to come here. Never said why. Never said anything. Just told me to come here and that you should know what to do. And to clear something out, I am only half vamp. All right. There was nothing left for me where I was, so I was sent here."

 

Raziel turned around and stood by Roneri and Athena, "Yes, there are humans around but most of them are here to kill vampires, and you don't seem all that strong of a vampire yet. Not strong enough to go out and kill one of them." He said. " Well, my name is Raziel."

 

She took in what Setsaki said in silence, choosing not to voice her worries about Reina's safety.

Spinning the staff from side to side to keep her balance up, Felicia step-jumped back at every swipe of Setsaki's rapier. She lifted two fingers of her free hand to her forehead and whispered, "Refugio," casting a shield spell to block the wind razors. In the light cast by the human-sized crystals, the wind razors shimmered. A scarce few got to her because she ended her spell too soon.

Not letting it bother her, she came forward. She swung the staff horizontally, spun along with the motion, then followed up with a sweep kick.

 

Setsaki smiled, "Excellent job, Felicia, well done."

Setsaki swung his head to one side dodging the first shot. But, he didnt see the last one, so, he was swept onto the ground.

He got up and jumped into the air and sheathed his rapier. "On bastagraveis. BLOOD!! It's a secret Senzuki encantation." As soon as he said the words, a copy of himself was created completely with blood. And the copy was on fire, for it had been made from the fire symbol.

The copy jumped for Felicia and formed a sword from the ground, and made a vital swing, straight for her left arm.

 

Charlise ran quickly through the alleys, she ran around and heard several voices and she went closer to hear.

Vincent put a hand on Darius' shoulder, "Wait, who exactly are we dealing with inside. I sense they have much strength, not that its any problem for me. I'm just curious."

 

Roneri looked at Raziel, "Alright." She glanced back at Amanda and Athena.
"Athena, you stay close to me. And you." she said to Amanda, "If you wish, you can stay with Athena, but if you wish to fight, go ahead." She smiled, "But I would lose any sleep if we were to lose you. Do you understand." She grinned, "We're going to hunt the hunters tonight."
"Raziel, you're fending for yourself tonight. Understand."

 

"Okay, I'll go find something to eat but would you like me to keep an eye out for you if I see any easy hunters?"

 

Roneri nodded.
"Find a human. Preferrably, a child, for Athena." She said, walking away, glancing at Athena and motioned her to come with her.

 

Amanda looked to Athena "Are you all right?"

"Find a human. Preferably, a child, for Athena." Roneri said.
Amanda looked to Roneri and back to Athena "You are not wanting human blood, are you?"

Without looking away, she heard footsteps in the alley. Amanda got up and walked quietly towards the alley. She looked behind the wall calmly and saw Charliase running. Amanda jumped out, blocking Charlise from going on. Amanda looked to Charliase and said, "Who might you be?"
