None of them were. Only "I" was going to St. Ives. And I'll have to go with Land for the other riddle, aswell.

If I remember my Classic Riddles correctly (and I'm not sure I do), the answer to the Pilgrim Riddle that has been stumping everyone is:

    On their feet.

The Pilgrims landed on their feet.

so here's a really easy riddle... i kinda changed it a little though.

so there's this airplane that was carrying all these people going over east russia, west russia, and no mans land. there were some technical difficulties and the plane crashed. where do you bury the survivors? east russia, west russia, or no mans land...?

    You don't bury survivors.

Well... I do because I'm sick, twisted and a sadist like that.

But, that's the answer. You don't bury survivors.

... that's nice... well, i used to bury alive things though... but it's so much easier if you say the riddle out loud and not type it.

another really easy one. (i'm sorry, i don't know any difficult ones...)

what goes up but never comes down?

How about Gasoline prices? Prices in general? Darn inflation.

But seriously, I'm going to go with age too.

I guess this is a bit of a riddle of sorts... here's for you Die Hard (Bruce Willis movie) fans...

You have a 3 Gallon water tub and a 5 Gallon water tub. You need to get exactly 4 Gallons of water into the tub.

What do you do, man? What... do... you... do?

Easy! Fill the 5 gallon, and pour it in. Then, take out 3 gallons with the smaller one, then put 5 more gallons in, and take out 3 more.

    5-3+5-3=4

I'm sure there's another solution, but I can't remember it.

Perhaps you fill the 5-gallon, then the 3 from the five, then pour in the 5 (with 2 in it), then add another 5, then take out three.

    5-3=2+5=7-3=4

    This thing all things devours:
    Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
    Gnaws iron, bites steel;
    Grinds hard stone to meal;
    Slays kings, ruins town,
    And beats high mountain down.

okay I'm just gonna see if anyone could get this one. When i heard it I didn't gte it, but for riddle experts like you it's probably easy XD

What's a sport that's played all other the world, with only 4 letters in its name, and starts with a "T"?

And for that one Shinryu gave, i dunno. XD

Well, I'll give the solution to mine that I was thinking:

Fill the 5 gallon, empty it into the 3 gallon.

    Empty the 3 gallon.

Empty remaining 2 gallons (from 5 gallon) into the 3 gallon.

    Refill 5 gallon.

Empty one more gallon into the 3 gallon (so that it will be full), leaving 4.

I think that's what you meant by your second one, Shinryu, though not sure. Either way, I'll take your word for it. :p

As for your riddle, I believe the answer is "Time".

    Wrongo. :p

Well the part about it being played all over the world may be a little wrong. The teacher that gave it to us said that as far he knew it was played all over the world....

I actually meant that answer towards Shinryuu's riddle (as I was only speaking to him, I figured the "your" would have been rather self-explanatory, but I suppose not). Anyways, I don't know about your riddle, Fushigi Rockna.

[EDIT]While I'm here I'll post one that my friend, Derek, stumped me with, because i r teh stoopud. It's actually pretty easy.

What is a 9 letter word in the English language that has only one vowel, and is only one syllable long?[/EDIT]

even though it's no a sport (i think) i'll just go with test. i don't know. all these stuff are so confusing.

and for the gallon thing... um... all i can think of is to take one gallon of water out of the 5 gallon tub...???

That was the third possibility I thought of, I was going to post it, but I hadn't the time, which is, in fact the answer to my riddle, thanks go to Gollum for thinking it up, and Bilbo Baggins for solving it, even if only through pure luck.

And I'm lost with the newer ones, so I'll leave now.

nope. Nice try tho. When I first heard it the group I was with (our teacher gave us all these riddles then split us into groups and made us try to solve him) the best we came up with was 'Team'.

Damn, i thought this was one was easy. o_O

Hmmm...I'll wait a little while before revealing the answer.

In the mean while here's an easier one.

Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world. What was the highest mountain before Everest was discovered?

Duh, Mount Everest. It didn't pop into existence the moment they discovered it. Just because nobody knew about it doesn't mean it didn't exist.

    hmm maybe I got it.
    Fill 5 Gallons
    5
    empty into 3 gallon tub
    2
    empty 3 gallon tub
    2
    fill 3 gallon tub
    2 + 3
move 3 gallons into 5 gallons
    5
(watch my idea go boom X_X)
    empty 5 into 3
    2
    empty 3
    2
    move 5 into 3
    0 +2
    fill 5 gallon
    5 + 2
    move 5 into 3
    4 + 2
    empty 3
    4
    lol...took me a while...

A man gets into an elevator. He knows he lives on the 14th floor (no 13...damn luck), but gets off on the 10th floor and takes the stairs the rest of the way. Why?

The answer to the elevator one is he is to short to reach the 14 button he can only press the 10 so he goes to the 10th floor and walks the rest of the way.
