Yes, I see (...XP ^_~), and I would but I have no Japanese fonts and, um, I also have no internet access from my PC, so yeah... But it's fun if you post some more, 'cause it's just FUN. ^_^

I can translate it! ...I think! XD My disclaimer stands: I'm a first-year Japanese student and my knowledge is next to nil, so don't take anything I say too seriously. ^^;

Nan da kono kimochi

Re-phrased, based on my minimal knowledge: Kono kimochi wa nan da ka.

Translated: "What is this feeling?"

I'm thinking Lime, the episode with Squirrely, after... *tears up and can't say it* And if not that episode, it'd still be Lime, but the episode where Tiger [doesn't] dies.

I'm wrong, I know it, but I think my translation is right. XD

 

This one I chose for two reasons. 1. To make it difficult for you, and 2. It was the first one to enter my mind.

Anyway, Translation is right, location is wrong.
This phrase wasn't said by Lime, and not in Program 16, either.

By the way, I did a google search for the mysterious Kanji, 最, and I got 55 million matches. So that was no help. But I stuck it into Nifty, and it translted to "Kaname." I don't know if that helps any.

Means: most, -est

愛
Readings: a あ, ai アイ, ito.shii いと.しい, ashi あし, e え, kana かな, mona まな, megu めぐ, megumi めぐみ, yoshi よし
Means: love, affection

離
Readings: ri リ, hana.reru はな.れる, hana.su はな.す
Means: detach, separation, disjoin, digress

For the first two we use the on-readings: sai, ai (they're not alone)
It means beloved
The third one is in the TE-IRU form. Then it's obvius which the reading is.
The meaning is 'Not too far'??? unconfirmed.

Originally: チェリーは私の最愛である。 ライムとブラッドベリーはさほど離れていません。

Romanized: Cherii wa watashi no sai ai de aru. Raimu to Buraddoberii wa sa hodo hanareteimasen.

And the mistery is solved!

Ooh, still wrong! You've gotten closer, as it's Otaru who says it, but you're wrong on several counts.

First, you are wrong about the time of occurence. It did not happen in Program 3.
Second, there was no scene in Program 3 where Otaru and Cherry nearly kissed. That was Program 4.

Typically, we leave quotes romanized, to offer those of us who know very little written Japanese a chance. That way, we can figure it out through sheer knowledge of the episode, without needing to guess at what was said.

However, phrases, like the one in my sig, that are not quotes can be made as difficult or as easy as you wish.

And as for the quote, even though you got mine wrong, I can answer... Oh wait, it says don't use a translation site! Then I'm incapable of answering it, as I do not know what is being said.

Using nifty, however, I can conclude the quote occurs in J to X.

Heh, my quote has stumped two people so far! It's being unraveled, but it remains a mystery. Here's the evolution of it.

Alrighty then, it was said by several people. Be warned that this post contains spoilers for J to X.

First to say it was the owner of the delivery business that Lime worked for in Phase 01.
Second, was Lime, shortly after hearing the owner say it.
Third, was Cherry, I believe, after Bloodberry handed her the bulletin informing her of it.
Fourth, was Otaru, shortly after he blew up at Lime and she ran off.

As for what it says, I'll admit I cheated and used a translation site before you romanized it, so, I will not post the translation. I will instead leave that for Stardust Phox, or some other person to figure out. If no one does in several days, however, I will translate it, and finish it off.

Mine still requires an episode and circumstances.

Actually, I just checked that. It was Lime, in Phase 01 of Saber Marionette J to X, right after she returned from... was it Naniwa? I have to check again. Anyway, since no one has translated it, I believe it is "Stop the manufacture of marionettes." But again, I need to check.

And, it's another wrong answer! I didn't realize it would be that hard. Alright, I'll give away a piece of it.

My lack of knowledge of written Japanese is catching up with me. I don't have a clue. As for my translation, I was going by the subtitles that I'm now having trouble remembering. I'm not going to be checking again any time soon, as I plan to rewatch in a week or so. Right after I finish rewatching Slayers and the novelty of Saber Marionette R wears off. (I'm on my third watching in as many days)

Anyway, here's a quote to solve, even though my last one hasn't been solved yet, and jedimdo has one too.

I still don't have speaker or episode but I have a translation.
After looking some grammar, a verb dictionary and two kanji's dictionaries, this came up.

お姉さんの言う事聞きなさい
おねえさんのいうことききなさい
oneesan no iu koto kikinasai
Listen what your/my sister says
Or more literally:
Listen what fact/thing your/my older sister says

I'm not sure because there are at least three kanjis with nearly the same meaning (even readings!)

 

Uhh... I gave you the romanized version. And you're getting close, but I think I'll stump you on it.

 

Well, this is how far I've reached:
oneesan (Older sister) no (posession) iukoto (Not really sure) kikinasai (Listen, imperative)

Japanese is interpreted in context, that's why there are many ways to translate some phrases. I don't have any japanese dub (<- Just kidding ) so I only can guess. Are you sure that is 'oneesan' and not 'oniisan'?

 

Yes. I am very sure it's onee-san. Pronunciation - Oh-nay-san

Onii-san is pronounced - Oh-nee-san

It is confusing, but the first one is the one I meant. The second syllable is pronounced "nay."

I still don't think anyone will get it. BakaMattSu might, as might a few others, but I doubt you or Gata-san will be able to.

I don't see another translation. Maybe it could be i18n, but I don't know how to translate it to an american.

 

Close enough. The subtitles say "Just do what I say." But, I had it figured more as "Listen to what your big sister tells you."

Anyway, you're never going to figure out who said it, or when.
