As Val began to move towards the side to attack the creature she noticed it's tail heading towards Kael. She quickly salshed the tail and it flicked away and immediately continuing to the side of the monster. She started slashing at it madly but its armor was much too thick. Damn, its armor is too thick. If i use my energy blast then it might make a hole in the armor, but will i have energy left to fight?...no matter as long as the armor has a small weak spot teh other's could work on it. Alright...

Val jumped up in the air and sheathed her knives in their sheaths on her back. She then placed her hand outstretched in front of her and her eyes began to grow lighter in color and a white glow formed in her hand. The light finally grew blinding and she fired her light beam at the monster's side. It hit and she sustained it for more then jsut a few seconds. She felt her energy draining from her body as she continued her light beam. The monster was roaring in extreme agony and soon it's armor began burning away. Finally Val couldn't give any more energy and the light beam stopped. All was still for Val and she began to fall from the air completely exhausted.

 

When Val slashed the tail heading for him, he couldn't help put think, "Idiot...I'm trying to distract it...".

But then Val started blasting the Neliathan, then she fell...Kael ran to catch her as vines and twigs started to grow from his back...

The monster roared in pain and quicky directed it's tail at the falling Elian...Some feet from the ground, Kael caught her and slashed the tail away with his sword, his wings flapping behind him.

The tail was thrown to the side, but the impact from the tail with his sword caused Kael to be thrown offcourse and into a building wall, where he slid down to the ground with Val protectively in his arms. Blood trickled down from his hair and down his face, but he wasn't severely harmed.

The Neliathan, it's full attention on the Erthian and Elian, shot its tail at them again the second they hit the ground. Kael quickly tilted his head slightly to the side and the sharp tip of the tail was embedded into the stone wall next to his face. His face and eyes were impassive throughout the whole event and even as more blood trickled down his face from the cut on his cheek where the tail had managed to slice.

 

Yunig, Jyn, and Lanah had split up to attack the Neliathan from different directions, as per Kael's instructions.

Of the three, it was Jyn who reacted first when she saw the dark-spawn's attacks on the Elian and Erthian. Gripping her trident in one hand, she ran in their general direction. Halfway there she kicked off the ground and spread her wings; the sunlight reflecting off the scales gave them a glittery shine. She was hovering above the Neliathan, its screeching the only thing she could hear.

Here is your confusion, she thought as if speaking to Kael, her eyes for that short instance matching his in their listlessness.

She flicked her wrists, twirling her weapon like a baton, the silver bells glittering in the bright sunlight. She gave her legs the occasional shake, and having completed the short, voiceless sort of incantation, her voice resonated through the area in a song that seemed both melodious and cacophonous at the same time.

 

The moment after Kael had given the order for them to split up then told Bara he should take to the head since his wings wouldn't last much longer, Bara knew he was right and took to the air at once. At first he hadn't been able to get to close to the Neliathan while it attacked the Elian and Erthian. Finally Jyn was above its head and he darted near by but not next to her, chosing instead to drag the Neliathans attention on him, flying infront of its head, stabbing each time it was slow to react to his newest twist to another side. His blade had to be torn back sharply after each strike to dodge back incase it tried something. His wings almost seemed to be flickering for a moment as he concentrated fully on attacking and didn't seem to notice.

 

Chaos headed Ariana's request and put Nuria's other arm over his shoulder. Then the Nelaithan came near to then and the other warriors began to fight it. While they were fighting, Chaos would help Ariana bring Nuria some place safe, for he did not like fighting HIMSELF to begin with, so right now his main pirority was to get the wounded out of here....

Aquafina was a bit shocked to see the neveks destroyed so suddenly but shook it off. Now where was Chaos....?

Sin barely got up but saw the nevek charged at her and realized the pain in what was now surely her side (but she might've just accidently hit herself with her dagger). Seeing the nevek she panicked but then remembered she had some of her inventions with her. Of course, they always blew up in her face but they just had to work now!
"hehehehe..." she began devilishly pulling out what looked like a small marble. A strange look spread over her face (note: likw in Evangelion when Asuka saw that whale angel and that look on her face).
"Say goodbye you pest..." she began but soon the 'marble' 'blew up' earlier than it was supposed to, giving out odd misty gas, meant to conceal Sin and confuse the enemy, but from so close to her, it's blast ended up causing some damage, ala making her face looked chared.
"S***."
But this was too time to waste and cuss over the SEMI-failure of another invention, she quickly looked and saw her other dagger and picked it up. With quick leg movement she came up toi the nevek in a few seconds and stabbed it where it's heart should be with both hands. And before it could figure out what happened, Sin created temporaily out of dark matter a long blade above the nevek which came down and broke into a thousand pieces, but not before hopefully slicing the nevek in half. Sin had luckily let go of her daggers just in time to not be hit by the blade.

 

"Confusion, eh?" she smiled, that thing didn't look to bright.

But looks can be decieving.

As the others split up, and the chaos began, Mirial herself stayed back. She wouldn't charge in like the others, that wasn't the way she fought. She'd be a backup card... she couldn't keep healing them, but she could distract the creature. It had Kael and Val clearly targeted.

It was time for her card to be used!

"Conosa, firan.... firan..." She sang loudly, aimed towards the creature. It shook it's head, bemused, and stumbled backwards letting out a roar. It blinked it's now disfocused eyes, and looked about, as if searching for something. Her fellow fighters were slightly stunned, but thier confusion shook of quickly, as she hadn't thrown her voice to them. She tested a daggar, aimed, and shot, hitting it clearly in the eye. It roared, and attempted to pull out the daggar.

Mirial winced at her own cruelty. "Put it out of it's misery... please hurry," she told the others, offering to take Val.

 

Ariana helped Chaos carry Nuria near a building away from the fight, and leaned her against the wall. Nuria remained unconcious, appearing merely asleep than anything else.

Ariana took a breath and took out her light sword, "I have to help them..." she muttered as the beam of light appeared from its hilt.

She then with one more glance at Nuria, turned and ran to the fight...

The Neliathan's tail, which had been stuck in the building's wall for a moment and may have been the target of some attacks, quickly pulled itself free as the monster roared at the many and sudden fighters and their attacks.

The dagger thrown by Mirial simply struck the hard casing that surrounded the creature's eye and rebounded off. It shook its head and thrashed its tail wildly, the noise from both Jyn and Mirial's songs seemed to cause it to freak out and become very disoriented but much more deadlier...True it couldn't focus on one target, but once it did, that fighter was in very serious trouble.

Finally being able to shake off the effects of the songs, it swiped Bara and Jyn away from its head with its tail....then glared fiercely in Kael and Mirial's direction.

Without saying anything, Kael got up and, when Mirial walked over, gave Val to her care. His wings broke apart by their own accord as he stared at the Dark-spawn. Seeing it's attention on them, he quickly ran away from the two and tried to get the monster's attention by summoning thorny vines to grow around the creature's legs and around its body.

In fury, the monster tried to devour the Erthian. Luckily, Kael was quicker and jumped to the side as the Neliathan scooped up nothing with its powerful jaws, but dirt from the ground...

Kael had landed painfully on the ground and was having trouble getting back up...the crash into the building must've been more serious than he thought...

The Neliathan roared and raised its head again, its eyes looking here to there...trying to find one target...

The Nevek stumbled back from Sin's attack and knelt down slightly and stopped moving....

Since usually dark-spawn in the wild don't dissapear, and since many people have never even seen one up close except the ones who lived in the monster's territory, it was unlikely that Sin and Rhye knew it shattered into particles when these paticular dark-spawn die.

 

Jyn fell hard on the ground after receiving such a powerful blow. Seeing this, Yunig abandoned his futile efforts and ran to her. He sat her up and set her against a wall, holding up her head when he saw she couldn't hold it up herself.

"You okay?" he asked worridly.

"I will be," whispered the Erthian/Aquian.

Lanah, not in the dark-spawn's line of sight, took this moment to her advantage. She ran in the direction it was heading, creating a large blade-like weapon. She held the flame-blade tightly in one hand, then jumped and jammed it into the Neliathan's neck. She put all her weight into stabbing the fire-creation into the dark-spawn, and all her weight in trying to pull it down with her. She wouldn't last long in such a vulnerable position and wanted to get out fast.

 

Wow, Rhye thought. She seemed to have won. Without any of his help, either. This new ally would be of great assistance. Rhye then realized that she had been hurt in the fight. He ran over to give her some help.

"Thank you for your help," he said as he checked her wounds. "I couldn't have possibly survived by myself."

The Nevek's body seemed to settle next to them.

 

Bara hit the ground also with Jyn when the tail had come up and slashed them. As soon as his back hit the ground his wings just seemed to 'give out' and seemed to fold into his back. He pushed himself up on his elbow, glancing toward his back, noticing that and sighed before pushing himself up, searching the battle field, watching the people he could see before looking toward the Dark-Spawn they had fought, noticing it seemed to have died since it wasn't moving and grinned faint. That was a good thing that it died. He knew he could still fight but that would mean fighting from the ground. He finally called as loudly as he dared,"Everyone alright here? No bad wounds or anything?"

He noticed Kael was having trouble getting up and started forward to him, crouching down beside him,"Need any help?"

 

MOOC: The giant dark spawn is still moving and is receiving an attack from Lanah. No that wont kill it either, your not supposed to kill it, its too powerful, but you'll see in a sec what happens. Also, a Pyrian wings, when no longer in use turn into ash and disapear. They are "reborn" again when they are called for.

The Nevek suddenly jumped up and grabbed Sin around the neck from behind, "No one little sinallet is going to stop me!" it growled in a very rough voice.and was about to break her neck...

 

Rhye, having been thrust to the ground from the sudden attack, looked up in surprize. That thing was surely dead just two seconds ago! Nothing could have lived through the attack the other Sinalett pulled on it. And yet, there it was, getting ready to snap the Sinalett's neck. Crap. This was my fault, he thought. I wasn't careful enough.

Rhye then thought of something. He realized what the Nevek had said. "No one little Sinalett is going to stop me!" Then why had it initiated the first attack? Was its goal...

Rhye quickly grabbed his goorkha and prepared himself. He ran up to the Nevek and, jumping so he could reach, sliced at its stomach region. "Hey, you big monstrosity! Put her down! She's not important! Your real quarrel is with me!"

Quietly, he hoped that his plan had worked.

 

The Nevek let the girl go, stumbled back, and turned to the other sinalett, the one he was ordered to destroy...

It smirked, revealing sharp jagged teeth, before letting out a roar and reached for Rhye...even though he was severely weakened and one more powerful attack should do him in...

The Neliathan screeched as it was attacked by the fiery Pyrian. As Lanah's weapon died out, it gave one more burst of fire, throwing Lanah to the side from its force.

Luckily, it was this that saved her life since the monster had just tried to swipe her away with it's tail and ended up slashing its own neck, causing much more damage than Lanah's attack...

The Neliathan roared as it pulled its tail from its neck, but still looked as alive as ever...though much more pissed.

 

Rhye noticed a slight distracted motion from the Nevek. It was in pain. It was actually in pain. Maybe this is my chance, he thought.

Rhye ran around behind the beast and jumped on its back again. This time, however, he stood on its shoulders instead of clinging to its neck. Jumping high enough to gain sufficient momentum, and just barely back enough to avoid landing on the shoulders again, Rhye used all the force he could to bury his blade in the Nevek's head. The blow was strong enough to cause Rhye to lose his balance coming down. He landed on his back, with his goorkha again at his side.

 

Lanah managed to land without sustaining too much damage, though her fall had not been graceful. She dusted herself off, wincing at the rough contact she made with a scrape on her left arm.

She got up and squinted at the Neliathan. Damnit. My one successful attack and it's still thrashing. How in the world will we ever kill it!?

 

The Nevek’s head exploded into particles, when the blade struck, along with its entire body some moments later.

It was dead…finally!

Then, before either Sinaletts could catch their breath, soldiers bearing the crests of Elinas Guard came running up to them and pointed their spears at both of them.

"I’ll come along peacefully if I were you." The Royal Bodyguard said as she stepped forward, a smirk on her face.

The monster loomed over Kael and Bara, and was about to strike, when Ariana Lyndial ran between them and threw her sword at the beast’s head.

She had powered up the weapon to full power, so when the Light-sword struck the Neliathan right between its eyes, it pierced its thick armor and blood squirted out as the monster’s head was thrown back. When the monster’s head returned to its original place, there were cracks over its ugly, thick armored face around the hilt of Aria’s sword. It glared at the Elian as her light-sword’s power gave out and the hilt fell from the Neliathan’s head to the ground.

Ariana took a step back, closer to Kael and Bara, fear etched in her eyes The Dark-spawn was about to attack again when a dark figure flew past…Ariana eyes widened in surprise as the Neliathan froze.

The figure that had flown past was Seyra Rynne and she was now hovering in front of the creature’s face, her arm stretched out and her palm, which was glowing darkly, inches from it’s face.

The Neliathan seemed to be in a trance for one moment, but then in another second it wasn’t and tried to move it’s head away from Seyra, but then was in the trance again as Seyra followed its movements, concentrating hard on controlling the beast.

"Don’t Move…You will obey!" She commanded, then to the others below, her frightening black and red eyes still on the Neliathan, she yelled, "Someone…do something…I cant hold it for long…"

And someone did do something…

A powerful beam of white light hit the Neliathan in the spot that Valaina had weakened on the creature’s armor and it pierced right through. The Neliathan roared in pain as it was thrown slightly to the side from the strong impact of the attack. But it’s roaring was quickly silenced as another strong beam of light pierced it’s neck where it was damaged, severing it.

The whole Neliathan exploded in a high wind of black particles, making the fighters cover themselves as it passed them. When the gust of wind stopped, the monster was gone and a sudden silence settled around the warriors.

Seyra landed near Ariana and looked up to see who had slain the dark-spawn.

The Empress, her platinum wings flapping elegantly behind her, landed softly in the middle of the street where the Neliathan had once been, her eyes, hair and wings glowing softly. After making sure the beast was gone, she relaxed and the glow faded away. She then turned to look at the fighters.

At that exact moment, soldiers of the Elinas guard swarmed the area from different direction. They each had identical silver armor with the royal crest on their chest plates and spears that glow at the tips.

"Right on time." Empress Lyndial said as the guards pointed their spears at each one of the fighters, including her daughter…

 

Bara twisted ot look around when the soldiers appeared before glaring at the Empress,"Whats this all about?!?!"

He didn't even TRY for manners, instead, steping forward, glaring at her. He fully ignored the spears, fingers curling around the hilt of his sword. He was a Pyrian and a FireDancer. He wasn't going to go down without a fight if they tried anything. He eyed the Empress,"What we do? We destroyed the creature!"

 

Sin nearly jumped at the sight of the spears. It was because they had just came so fast, but she did nothign at the guard's remark. Rather she smiled.
"Okay, so how are you today? Lovely weather for gazillions of neveks and other nasty things to come attacking people and for you idiots to be sitting around on your arse while people are killed isn't it?" she said, for her smile soon turned into a glare. "What in the world is wrong with you?! You finally start bringing those things out now when all the nasty mean stuff are dead?! *I'LL* come with you but don't expect me to shut my trap."
She then crossed her arms and stood firm in her spot, not even cringing from the stil bleeding cut on her side. She looked at the guard, waiting for an answer.

 

Yunig glared up at the guards around him and his sister. He didn't care that there were spears pointed at them; he would not force Jynaiyu to stand after they'd helped save lives, after she'd been injured in a further attempt at that.

He just stayed where he was, crouched beside Jyn, holding the semi-conscious girl's head.

Lanah, meanwhile, stood calmly though apprehensively in the midst of it all.

 

Kai Fyre smirked wider at Sin, "Do remember who you're talking to. But if you're an idiot and don't know, I'm Kaiya Fyre, Royal Bodyguard to the Empress. Who, by the way, wants a little chat with you... all of you. So please come this way...she's with the others."

With that she started walking toward the direction where everyone else was. The guards pushing both Sinaletts to move if they were hesistant.

The guards pointed their spears even closer to Bara's face, a look of dead seriousness in their eyes.

The Empress ignored him as her eyes looked all the fighters over, counting them.

Kael slowly got up with his arm around his abdomen. His face relaxed and showed nothing, but in his eyes there was pain. He stared at the Empress, but said nothing. In his eyes, there was a spark of confusion and anger behind the pain.

Then remembering, he looked in Val's direction and found himself wondering if she was alright...

Ariana stared past the spears at her mother in shock.

"Mother...what did we do to deserve this?" Ariana said finally.

Empress paused and appeared to be ignoring this too when, "You'll find out when the rest of the fighters get here" she said almost lazily.

Seyra stood there with her black/red eyes glaring at the Empress, who looked at her and Seyra saw hatred in her eyes. In fact, she met with intense hatred by every guard that looked on her and they seemed a bit more eager to attack her than any of the others.

Seyra glared at the ground...how could this have happened...?
