Amanda blinked to Raziel tried to signify approval. Amanda struggled to stay awake at all cost. She tried to feel Athena's presence but she could only feel the pain of emptiness.

 

Satisfied he could return to the burnt out church and use it as a base, the cloaked man returned to his course, twice as careful as he was before. Sprinting cover-to-cover, vaulting over obstacles, the man moved as if he were a machine. Every move calculated a dozen times over, not a step out of place, and in perfect balance.

 

Charliase looked over the fallen demon and grabbed something that was in her pouch, it was a small vial of blood, Charliase bent over Amanda and took the vial and poured it into her mouth, "Drink, this should hold you for a while..."

 

"Well, we need to find her someone to eat." Raziel walks toward the center of the building. "Do you know of any good places to find people? Charliase?"

 

"I could lead you." Charliase took her vial back from Amanda "Do you think that will be all right?"

 

Roneri had finally caught up to Athena. She kept her distance, though. There was no use in interfering with what Athena was doing. As long as Roneri could hear her, and she was safe, there was no problem in not approaching. She stood there, leaning against the wall. She just stayed there.

 

The cloaked man finished his sprint once again, and looked for a suitable resting spot. Finding one, he took cover. None could hear him breathe or even make the slightest of sounds. He took in his surroundings. He knelt between two full garbage cans. Across from him was a neglected street. The remains of what seemed to have once been cars lined either side of the street. On the other side of the street was a surprisingly well-kept diner. Well kept as far as the windows being clean and having a full lobby of tables and such. However, the diner was drenched in crusted human blood, most likely from a party a local vampire threw a few days before. Laying scattered throughout the street were various forms of trash and discarded rubble.

The cloaked man was already formulating the best course of action, should he come under attack right now. He leaned back as he thought, against the wall. What he did not know was directly on the other side of this particular wall was the vampire Roneri, who was just as unaware of him as he was of her... for the moment at least.

 

"That would be fine with me." Raziel said as he walked to the edge of the building and took watch.

 

Setsaki sniffed. "I smell the presence of a newcomer, one who wasn't invited into the city of pain. Are you to be off, Leon? I ask that you allow me to come for a little bit of the ways. It would mean a lot to me. Either way, you should make haste and begin the journey."

 

Charliase kneeled over Amanda "Can you hear me? Amanda, we're going to help you." Charliase could barely hear any response. "Okay, I need you to phase us over to the dumpsters behind the sword shop."

 

"Well, that will be a problem. I told you I could only phase three times and the fourth would leave me like her. I have phased three times today but, you could get there fast with your speed."

 

"Place her on my back, I won't be as fast, but try to catch up I don't know what to do." Charliase loaded her on, and on instinct she kissed Raziel goodbye. "Sorry..." Charliase started running away quickly, blushing a bright pink.

 

Darien finally found his way out of the tunnels and came back up to the surface...
"Sheesh, that took alot longer than I expected..." Darien whispered, "I hope I won't get into any trouble with Darius over this."
Darien then proceeded on looking for Darius, Roneri, Leon, or Athena.

 

Raziel was shocked. <Wow, she kissed me. I thought...oh nevermind what I thought.> He thought to himself.

"Be safe, Charliase, I'll catch up in a few minutes."

 

Amanda felt a bit of a rush from what was given to her and jumped to her feet silently. <I still feel weak, but it should hold me for a bit.> Amanda looked to the two vamps and said silently, "Get a room."

Amanda walked looked as if she didn’t touch the roof to look at the new hunter. <Weird. He almost seems like death himself.> Amanda tried to look at the cloaked man's face in the moon lit night. Amanda turned to Raziel and said softly so the hunter couldn't hear them, “You can go ahead if you wish. I shall be fine for now.” Amanda reached into her pocket and grabbed the little container of blue liquid and drank a little, and then put it away in a safe spot. “I’ll be fine, just look for me when you find some humans or listen for a bird call. If I need help, I will call out like a bird.” Amanda felt strength go threw her as the blue liquid started to react in her body.

 

Charliase reached the bodies and tossed Amanda off of her back. "Raziel, where are you?" she muttered in spite. Quickly Charliase slit the wrist of one of the bodies and poured it into Amanda's mouth. "Drink." Charliase was scared, she know there had to be hunters out there just waiting to prey on someone like her...

 

Darien saw Darius and another vampire in front of a house and made his way closer to them and said, "Lord Darius, I am sorry for my delay in returning but I lost Athena and Reina in the underground tunnels then it took me awhile to find my way out of that maze. Please forgive me for my incompetance."

 

"Looks like it's time to go." Raziel ran swiftly across building to building. "Hmm looks like I found my self catching up to them."

Raziel tripped over apipe on the roof and slid to the edge.

"Owch, gosh darnit this will waste some of my time."

Razel limped to the next building in which he saw Amanda and Charliase.

"Ahhh, hello down there can I get some help? Eh, just kidding."

Leon considered this carefully. It was clear that Reina didn't wish to explain. So, he decided to ignore Athena's question and answer Setsaki's.

"We shall be off, yes, but I don't think that you or your lady friend should come along. You see, Darius is still under the impression that I'm a shell...and I am, sort of, but I'm regaining control. It's a very dangerous time for me. If Darius realizes who you are, he'll know that I'm no longer under his control. That wouldn't bode well for anyone."

<What will you do now, Aldoux? What will you do?>

 

The cloaked man's primal instincts started to scream out at him. He was being watched and he knew it. He did not see who it was or where they were, but he reacted all the same. He had been in this situation countless times since he had been forced to flee the shelter all those years ago.

He stood up and darted the length of the street in seconds. His graceful, measured movements could be classified as being impressive for a human. However, there was on odd thing to any who were looking on. That was the fact that he held an umbrella ahead of him, as if it were a sword, during his sprint.

The cloaked man knew he needed cover and the only thing that offered itself at the moment was the blood soaked diner. The cloaked man pushed his way in and hid himself in the macrabre diner.

The diner was fairly large, able to seat somewhere around fifty, maybe sixty, "people". The tile floor was drenched in days old crusted blood as were the tables that formed a circle, no, a pentagram around the lobby. Human bones and limbs littered themselves throughout the establishment. Chains hung form the ceiling, most likely used to bleed out the prey to make beverages, still had chunks of flesh hanging off them. There were no lights in the establishment. The kitchen sat in disarray, most likely due to the fact that the vampires hadn't bothered to cook their meals. Behind the kitchen was a small staircase that lead to basement storage.
