Leon smelled the flames and shook his head. Well, at least now he wouldn't have to deal with Darius' reaction to him coming out accompanied by Setsaki. With just Athena and Reina by his side, he could pull off this next bit of acting.

<Athena, this is only acting.>

He took Reina's hand and lead her outside, motioning for Athena to follow. He waited for Darius' reaction.

 

Raziel yelled "Roneri, nooo!"

He felt himself starting to explode from the inside out. There was almost nothing he could do to stop it but there was a way. He stagerd over to the staires but his arm started to shift between being stable and ghostlike. "stop him amanda" raziel said telepathicly. Raziel fell to the floor with little energy left, his body was shifting between dimensions while his mind was not.

 

Charliase shook her head, still looking as if possessed. She bent over Raziel's body, but it was going through spasms. Charliase closed her eyes and placed her hands on Raziel's body and started chanting, placing alot of her energy in him. Charliase could feel her body getting weaker. Raziel began to start calming down, and Charliase passed out on top of his body, yet her goal had been accomplished, the tattoo across her arm had vanished and the ring on her finger had broken off.

 

Amanda looked around violently and saw that the locker was open and that the child was not there, just blood. <What the...>

She looked to the human and asked silently "What is going on? What's happening to them?"

 

Athena followed Leon and took a deep breath to calm her thoughts. For some strange reason she found the flames comforting. She wondered what Darius was going to do.

*Reina*
Reina glared at Leon, but inside she trusted them and when she saw Darius she shouted, "What the...! Are both of you handing me over to Darius!"
Reina knew that they weren't but it was all she could do to make sure that Darius thought that both of them were still under his control.

 

Setsaki took a deep breathe and took out a packet of medical blood from his trench coat. He stuck a straw through it and began to drink it. "Ah, well, I can see that here is some unfinished business floating in the air. Comming from every single one of us."

He looked at Darius, Vincent, Leon, Athena, and Reina. "So, uh, anyone care on filling me in on what's happening? I would like to know what's happening to my own sisters."

 

<ooc: Just to clear up some confusion. Raziel and Charliase are upstairs, Abel, Amanda, and Roneri are downstairs.>

In the lobby upstairs, the lights shut off, and the diner was submerged in a most unnatural darkness. Laughing... inhuman and mocking... started to draw near. Through the darkness so black and wicked that even vampiric sight could not pierce, the sound of steel scraping against steel accompanied that approaching evil. It neared ever closer from the direction of the kitchen.

Then it happened, too fast to even register. The chains that hung from the ceiling, as if taking a life all their own, whipped out with a paralyzing speed. The wicked chain coiled itself around Charliase's throat jerking her off of the fallen Raziel and slammed her onto a steel table at the far side of the diner, roughly twenty feet from Raziel. Though for the moment she could not see it, she could hear more chains hovering above her, as if savoring in her torment.

Raziel faired no better for though the laughing may have stopped, the scraping of the blades reached the front of the lobby. For a moment there was silence. Peaceful and serene, the silence broke the frightening reality of the impenetrable darkness for a moment... but only for a moment. Steel slammed itself against the floor, and not even Raziel could mistake the sound of that sharp object. Mercilessly the steel began to skid across the floor, blade edge leading, intent on Raziel's skull.


Meanwhile, in the basement...

The cloaked man's eyes remained locked on the locked and then moved slowly to Roneri. Gravely, yet not accusingly, he spoke, "I told you, great sins were commited here. I told you I would not leave until I could put the souls that inhabit this place to rest."

His tone shifted, "Demons don't feel. They live in the now, all they amount to is instinct." He pointed an accusing finger at Roneri, "Demons just like you commited these sins, and you came to this place despite the warning signs, to do violence here again!"

The locker door slammed shut of its own accord, its sound echoeing like thunder through the basement. "And now these souls are.... how you say? Royally pissed off..."

The locker door opened again, this time though, its contents were far more ominous. To look into the locker, as Amanda and Roneri were doing now, was to look into the abyss... and just as they gazed into the abyss, the abyss gazed into them as well.

It moved and swirled until it came to a horrific conclusion... it wanted them as well. A hand and arm made from the stuff of shadow sprang forth from the locker, intent on pulling Amanda in first.

 

Roneri grunted as the man pointed. She would have pointed out to him that he was wrong about her doing something like this, but she held her tongue in disinterest. But...
Even I have a sense of mercy, she thought, this place is just plain creepy. She looked at him, about to say something, until the locker door slammed shut. Roneri's eyes, just for a moment, made her look startled, she shook it off. She glared at the locker for a moment, "Whatever weirdo did this..."She mumbled, examining it, "...was more than just screwed up in the head...." She said, trailing off.

"And now these souls are.... how you say? Royally pissed off..."

"I doubt it's anything to worry about..."
Roneri sighed for a moment, sending one last glance at the locker. As she did so, the locker opened again. But what was inside wasn't a locker. Just black. Empty black. But, for some reason, Roneri felt she shouldn't get to close. She took a step back. She examined it closer, until an arm shot out. Roneri jumped back, startled.

It was going for Amanda. Roneri hissed for a moment, and stepped in front of her, blocking it. She sent a sharp thought out to her.

Get out! Now! Find the others! Go!

She turned back around just in time to she the hand reach her and take hold of her around her neck. She took hold of the wrists and pulled.

 

Amanda moved Roneri from the grip of the shadow. Amanda threw her to the floor and stopped next to the shadow. She reached in her bag and pulled out the crystal orb then threw the bag to the wall next to the human and spoke to the orb. "Truk boru lest morui grw bow ser bow cur les pesre," it lit up a dark red blood cover, provoking the demons, Amanda then spoke louder. "BOW SER BOW, BOW TERK MERK LERS GRW CUR LES PESRE!"

Amanda holding the orb in her right hand then provoked the demon with her left. She said the ancient Egyptian spell of life made the demons glow at their wounds. "Namerhar." she spoke to the one demon reaching for her, Amanda's eyes start to glow and so does her orb. her head tilted downward but her eyes locked on the demon.

Amanda saw a child demon walk to her side. Amanda whispered to it in a Egyptian language long forgotten. "why do you linger?"

Amanda knelt down to the child and stared into its eyes and sent a painful thought to the human, <In the bag is a cross, hold it up and speak 4 times while holding it in you right hand "I banish thee to be free, I set you loose, I set you free. Freedom awaits, freedom is near, I set you free, I let the dead to be in peace." Hurry, before they take me with them. HURRY> Amanda closed her eyes and opened them again.

She placed her right hand on her heart, and her left on her mothers ribbon. She took it off and started to whisper "Turk, niaboc, turk, niaboc"

Amanda felt the wind pressed on her, the demon was taking her slowly, little by little to let each demon take their share. Amanda started to feel weak and thought to the human <if I drop down, take my life, or I become one of them, if they take me, they will go to each of you, if I die while they take me, their spirits take my flesh, say the words, you must.>

 

The cloaked man caught the cross, genuinely surprised that a she-demon would carry a cross. Perhaps he was right about her afterall. He shook those thoughts away, and fell to his knees, holding the cross in front of him. All he could do now is trust in her.

"I banish thee to be free, I set you loose, I set you free. Freedom awaits, freedom is near, I set you free, I let the dead to be in peace," he spoke clearly, just as Amanda told him. The ground began to quake, the tile began to split.

"I banish thee to be free, I set you loose, I set you free. Freedom awaits, freedom is near, I set you free, I let the dead to be in peace," he demanded. The howls of the innocent souls shrieked from all directions. They wanted their vengence, vengence against the vampire horde that imprisoned them here. Their desecrated bodies, that had been buried underneath the floor, pushed through the tiles.

"I banish thee to be free, I set you loose, I set you free. Freedom awaits, freedom is near, I set you free, I let the dead to be in peace," the cloaked man repeated for the third time. The walking-dead began to surround the praying man. Their madness, brought about by the decades of torture they received, spurned them on.

The hand gripping Roneri's neck felt as though it would release.

"I banish thee to be free, I set you loose, I set...," the cloaked man stopped distracted. Three more tendrils from the locker sprang forth, one wrapping itself around Roneri's neck, another grabbed her ankle, the third gripped the front of her shirt. Roneri started to rapidly lose ground.

 

Amanda fell to her knees as closed her eyes and screamed. "You must finish the spell. YOU MUST, ITS ALMOST OVER!"

Amanda felt the wind grow hectic and she dropped to her hands, and pushed her self to distract the hand destroying Roneri. Amanda ran to the locker and winced her eyes while closing it. The hands wrapped around Amanda. She fell instantly to the ground <Finish, I can't hold on any longer.>

Roneri was in the corner of Amanda's eyes but she couldn’t make out the figure. Amanda lifted herself only with her arms off the floor and looked to the hunter. Amanda felt a tear weld up in her eyes. <Finish, please hurry.> Amanda sent the thought weakly to the human.

Charliase could feel the pain run through her veins, she bit her tongue and could feel the blood in her tongue. Normally she could conjure a spell to break herself loose, but from helping Raziel she had become too weak. Charliase lost practically all conciousness but before anything else happened she muttered, "Raziel... I love... you...."

 

Raziel, lying almost helpless on the floor, managed to pull out a vial of something dark and mysterious, he slowly brought it to his mouth and drank it. Fearing the chains coming toward him he prayed that the vial would work soon.


"Please work, please work, come on, come on..." He muttered feriously.

Then at nearly an instant before the chains hit, he got a burst of energy and he jumped over the chains. Quickly he cast a fire orb to light the place up, but it gave only a slight glimpse of the surroundings.

"Charliase, where are you? Please talk to me. I can't dodge all these chains and get out. This vial's effects will end soon!" He screamed, hoping to get a response.

 

Roneri let herself be pulled close enough to the locker and she dug her heels into the floor.
"If I'm going down..."She said, half in a growl, "It ain't gonna be without a fight." She slammed her foot against the frame of the locker and pushed out. She managed to pull the arm further out, but then, another wrapped around her neck, and then her arm, and another pulled at her by her shirt. She could have handled to first two, but now she was struggling to stay standing.
"Damn..."

 

"Roneri is in trouble..." Athena whispered, she looked at Leon and then Darius and asked, "I want to go help her but I don't know where she is."

She looked at Setsaki and said, "I don't know what is going on... but I am so tired... I just want whatever it is to be over with."

*Reina*
Reina looked at her sister. She knew her sister was a teenager but she seemed so much older in that moment, concerned over one of their enemies. It worried her but then she realized something, her sister just wanted peace and because she only wanted peace Reina knew that it would be up to her and Setsaki and possibly Leon to stop the age of the vampires.

 

Charliase was practically lifeless, her pulse slowly dropped. Suddenly her soul left out of her body and went through the chains, she whispered into his ear. "Save me, Raziel, cut the chains, I'll be here to help you. Trust in me."

 

Raziel quickly went to her and pulled out his sword and cut the chains, he then picked up Charliase and jumped through the window which then the spell faded away and he gained his energy back.

"Charliase please wake up, come on." he said with passion.

 

The cloaked man launched into motion, still unsure whether or not Amanda's relic was going to work or not. His shoulder hit Roneri's stomach, but far from trying to push her in he was.... supporting her? He pressed his foot on the other side of the locker to support her.

The walking dead slowly began to surround Roneri and the cloaked man. With a whispered prayer to god he spoke,"...you free. Freedom awaits, freedom is near, I set you free, I let the dead to be in peace."

All of a sudden, Leon snarled and drew Setsaki's sword. Then, he ran Vincent through the heart and cut off his head. Then, the violence was over.

"He was about to make his move..." he told Darius by way of explanation. "But I still smell something like him here. A relation, perhaps?"

His tone was flat, emotionless. He kept it that way.

 

Charliase layed lifeless, her soul had still not returned her body. Her soul was standing behind him. "Well what are you waiting for?" Raziel looked confused "There's only one way you can break the spell; make me a vampire..."
