The darkness and hatred began to swirl around the cloaked man like a shroud. So intense it was, that it began to take the forms of the vampires who were responsible for the curse. Mutated, burnt the vampires eyes and mouth's were sewn shut. Yet one seemed to spot Charliase, it rushed at her, intent on dragging her along with it to the Hell it knew it was going to soon be.

The Cloaked Man hurled his umbrella to impede its path, as it landed a foot in front of Charliase. For some reason, the ghost vampire could not cross it nor go around. Instead, with new found rage, launched itself back at the Cloaked Man.

The Cloaked Man clasped his hands together, "My Father who art in heaven..."

 

Leon stood aside. He really should have planned this out better. What could he do now? He couldn't keep up the charade without risking the injury of his comrades, who trusted him, and if he didn't keep up the charade, they might all be killed anyway.

What could he do?

<Athena...I don't know what to do...>

 

<Leon needs me.> Athena thought to herself. <I've got to pull through for him.>

She took a deep breath than went and stood by him and thought to him, <Leon, we can keep up the charade, I will give Setsaki the signal to take Reina away from here. If we are ever to stop the evil side of the vampires, those two must live... I know that they will stop Darius for sure... but in the meantime you and I can keep up this charade... we can stay together and help Setsaki and Reina together.>

After having thought this to Leon, she looked at Setsaki and used a series of old Yamamorii hand gestures to display her thoughts to him.

 

Setsaki nodded in perfect agreement with Athena. After he took in her message, he pulled up his hands to talk to her through signals.

I agree perfectly with you Athena, but where do you propose I take her? My house is no longer a scared and safe place. Where do you suppose she would be safe with me guarding her and possibly Felicia?

When he finished talking to her, he looked at Reina and smiled.

 

Amanda looked to the human. she was amazed of what she felt for him, and wanted to stay, but knew that if she were to stay, she would create more of a hazard.

Amanda ran to the stairs but was stopped by spirits. The chains started to rattle around her. Amanda feel down on one knee from weakness and from not having blood for days. One of the chains flew at her. Amanda blocked it but another came and more and more, one grabbed her by the neck, and another by the arms. Amanda fell down from the force. Slowly more chains came and wrapped around her body.

A breath left her as a tear dropped out of her right eye. The chains were strangling her. Amanda lost all sense of life and Amanda's body gave out basically to death, and laid there half dead, half alive, consciousness left her.

 

The cloaked man finished his prayer and the ghosts of the damned Vampires fell upon him. This was a contest of will, a contest of faith. And in that contest, the devout man was on a whole different level than the combined might of the accursed vampires. The cloaked man grasped the throat, even though the incorpeal, of the closest vampire, and shouted with all his faith, "MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON YOUR SOULS!"

The ghost vampires let out a shriek as to their sight only, the gates of hell opened up for them. For them, they had gone too far out of reach for God's grace by their actions in life, unlife, and the undeath they had been cursed with. And in a scant few minute's, the demons were gone. The curse, through the cloaked man's sheer will, had been lifted, forevermore.

The cloaked man turned to leave but noticed the fallen Amanda. Though somewhat weakened mentally after the struggle with the ghost vampires, he pulled himself to stand over her to check her wounds, like he did in the basement.

Leon stood by, as an observer. He didn't really believe that Setsaki would be their saviour, that would be Reina's job, but he would keep his feelings to himself. If Athena thought he needed to survive, Leon would do his best to make sure that was the outcome.

Since he had failed to do anything by himself, he decided to leave the decisions to others. Maybe it wasn't right, but he had made too many mistakes to trust his own judgment.

 

Amanda awoke to the warmth of the human's hand at her arm. When she realized the human was really close to her, she jumped back startled. She looked at him confused and hungry. She asked, "Is it over?"

 

Roneri was starting to feel a little tired. She stopped for a moment, realizing she hadn't eaten in a while. She shook it off and kept walking. Right now there was something she needed to do.
But she promised herself that she would do something about it. Right now she needed to find Athena. Until she was told other wise, Athena was her responsiblity.

 

*Athena*
"Take her to my old house. The three of you will be safe there." Athena signed to Setsaki.

Athena looked at Leon than back at Darius. She wondered silently were Roneri was... she had grown acustomed to being with her.

Setsaki nodded. Then, he looked down to Reina and asked, "Hey, do you know where your old house is? Can you show me how to get there. Athena has asked me to bring you there, so I and possibly Felicia are going to take care of you."

He got up and looked to Reina for the directions.

 

Roneri stopped a few yards away. She was still unseen by the small group, but for now, she preferred it that way. She looked on, watching them. All she needed to do was watch her. Athena was safe as long as Roneri was at least keeping a watchful eye on her.

 

Raziel sat atop the old church waiting for Roneri, hoping that she would come.

 

*Reina*
Reina nodded her head up at Setsaki and said, in mind speak, <Follow me. I'll lead us.>
She then grasped Setsaki's hand.

 

Setsaki grasped Reina's hand as she did his. Then, he smiled to her and looked to her for the way.

 

*Reina*
Reina smiled than broke into a sudden run so that they could get away. She turned down random corners until she was at a familiar area and led Setsaki to the front of their old house.

*Athena*
Athena glanced at Roneri as she appeared near them. She smiled slightly than looked from Darius to Leon and said, in mind speak to Leon, <What now Leon?>

 

OOC: I forgot all about this thread. i feel stupid.

Charliase ran out of the diner and into the tattoo parlor next door. She ran up to the guy there and whispered something in his ear. She took her finger and ran it accross the cut accross his face. He handed her a little bag, and she stepped out of the store and started running down the street.

 

Setsaki looked at Reina and made his way to the door of this house. With his hand firmly grasped on his sword, he grabbed the knob of the door. "May I?"

 

"Why are you here?" Kentorikon said with Merikonu pointed at the vampire's heart. "Answer!" he shouted at the monstrous thing that had just showed its fangs. "I was sent," the vampire said in its most disgusting voice. "WHO sent you? Answer or my sword will pierce your heart!" Kentorikon said, and meant it.
"Never!" it shouted at Kentorikon, and started pushing its chest towards Merikonu.

"Fine then," Kentorikon said with absolute pleasure, when he got to kill one of the vampires that killed his parents. He pulled Merikonu farther away from the vampire, and took his attack position. He knew that because of one wrong move, he might get killed himself, but after all he was one of the best vampire hunters, and swordsmen in the world. Soon they were in the midst of battle, you could practically only see Kentoriken's dance of death and the vampire in the middle of it. Kentoriken could have killed it at his first strike, but he wanted to kill it after humiliating it. Soon the battle was over, and Merikonu in the vampire's heart. "You deserved it." Kentoriken said, victorious.

 

Roneri's attention went away from Athena for a moment. She turned her head to face behind her.
It's a few blocks away... she thought.
Something was wrong. Something was happening. She didn't know what but she didn't like it. All she knew was that the smell of blood just thickened. Normally, it would have annoyed her to have the smell of blood so heavy around her, but this was different. It wasn't human blood. It was that of a vampire.
Roneri's stomach sunk even further. Another hunter? She hoped not. For now, they'd have enough problems keeping the other in line.
Insects.... she said to herself, although she knew the others could hear her. She didn't really care at the moment.
She shook her head and continued to watch Athena.
I'll deal with it when it comes along.
It was bad news for who ever this new hunter was, because they were going to be her next meal.
