Raziel was so confused, his mind was being pulled apart by feelings. He then kissed her and bit into her neck, trading blood with her and even a part of his essence. "Please let this work!" He exclaimed.

 

Felicia had her hand in a pocket the whole time, clutching a crucifix, pressing the beads between her fingers, mentally reciting prayers. Prayers for Reina, the humans' only hope.

The sound of a blade slicing through flesh reached her ears, and shortly after, the smell of blood. She murmured a quick prayer and glanced up at Setsaki. She remembered his confessions and shuddered at the memory of those words. If there was still good, if he was willing to fight the darkness, there was still a chance for redemption... wasn't there?

"Do you think," she began, believing it time to act, "it is safe to leave the house now? Do you think they need further protection?" And inside she continued, questions she would never give voice to, Can I trust them? Can I trust you?

 

Setsaki finished the packet of blood and put it back in his trench coat. "Don't want to litter."

Then, he turned to Felicia, "I'm not sure whether or not. My guess is that Leon will take good care of Athena and Reina. So I don't really see an reason to stay with them. But I must go and do something before I can confront you, Darius." Setsaki said, glancing at the Vampire King, "So, If you want to follow me, then by all means do so. But soon I must make my leave."

When Setsaki finished talking, he put on a pair of white gloves, one of them had a cross on it, and the other had a pentagram.

 

Amanda fell down, her body ready to give up. When the human said the final words, the spirits turned pure white and released all the vampires and left like all spirits should. Amanda fell almost lifelessly to the ground, hardly breathing.

 

Athena looked at each of the members of the group and she could feel the Vampire side in her rising. Her eyes widened and she wasn't sure if she would be able to control it... it seemed to want to drink Reina's blood... Her eyes widened even more and she turned to Setsaki and said, "Brother, kill me now. I don't know how much longer I can keep my Vampire side at bay and I don't trust myself enough to be able to keep it from harming Reina..."
She dropped to her knees and held herself and thought, <Someone please save Reina from me.>

*Reina*
Reina blinked than said to Leon, "Are you giving me to Darius then... 'cause I won't give up without a fight."
She hoped that Leon would know she was acting but she had no idea how to react to what Athena had just said.

 

Roneri struggled more as she got closer. She was about to go all out when the cloaked man's shoulder hit her stomach. She stopped for a moment.
He's not forcing me in....she thought.
And he wasn't. He was supporting her. She held still for a moment, until she snapped back into reality, remembering that she still had to fight as well. She pushed harder, as hard as she could, and then, suddenly, everything disappeared. When the hands disappeared, Roneri accidentally sent herself back, taking the man with her. She was still a little bit shook up from wonder. She leaned up, and looked at him.
"Why did you help me?"

 

The Cloaked Man stood up and rushed over to the fallen Amanda, placing a finger on her neck. Satisfied that her wounds, both magical and physical in origin, were not fatal, he stood up, and considered Roneri's question.

After a moment, he spoke, "Because I still care for life, even if it is un-life. I do not enjoy watching people or demons die."

He breathed in the air around him. The sadness was gone, as was the fear and regret. The innocent souls, the ones who were murdered in the diner, had passed on, but...

 

There was a vacuum noise and Charliase's soul started to be sucked in...
"No...." Charliase's soul started to resist the force. "You idiot, do you not remember anything? My blood is poison to all of those who are vampires you have got to get the antidote..." Yet before her soul could say anything else her soul returned to her body. "Hmmm? Where- Where am I?"

 

Amanda gasped and coughed a bit while awakening. She looked around and couldn't see straight.

She looked to the human and chuckled. Amanda tried to stand up but lost her balance and fell leaning against a wall. She said to the man, "My cross please." She smiled and sat down while she held her head.

Amanda suddenly remembered and yelled. "The others, upstairs! Did the spell work for them?!" Amanda jumped up, forgetting her pain and ran to get the door open to find the other vampires. One just awoken, the other, Raziel, started to lose his life force.

 

Raziel looked at her and said, "Look, don't worry, I've had your blood before, remember? I'll be fine." He fell over in pain and then a dark aura covered him.

 

Setsaki turned around and looked at Athena as if in disbelief. "Very well, if you want me too."

He took a small knife out of his trench coat and slit his forearm, then he dipped a finger in the blood until it was completely coated. Then he took the finger and traced it along the pentagram on his right glove.

The pentagram on the glove burnt the blood onto the glove and he spoke the name, "Athena." Then, he poised his glove in a position ready to shove into her heart.

"Athena, by rights given to me by your blood, I herebye vanquish your soul from this world. Amen."

Setsaki thrust the glove towards Athena's heart.

 

Reina's eyes widened in disbelif as she saw Setsaski go to kill their sister.
"Setsaski! NO!!' Reina shouted as she positioned herself right in front of Athena a split second before his hand could touch Athena. She looked up at Setsaski and said, "No, we need her... she can't just die before we've completed our goals. Besides... we haven't even got to enjoy each other's company yet as a family... we can't die until we're a family together at least. Please Brother... don't kill her... save her from herself take her away from here...from Darius."

Reina than looked at Darius and said, "I'm glad Vincent was killed."

 

The glove simply bumped Reina's body, because she was not meant to be killed.

Setsaki fell to his knees, his face quivering, and he began to cry. As strong as he could, he embraced Reina, "Thank you... I was clouded by her commands." Setsaki sat there for about two minutes, just crying.

 

Reina hugged Setsaki back and said, "Of course I forgive you, brother... you just wanted to help her... it's okay."

She looked up at Darius once more and said, "Athena is leaving with Setsaski and Felicia... as long as I am with either Leon or Darien I will not leave with them."

She waited for his response.

 

Roneri stood up and looked at him, "For that, I won't kill you. But don't cross my path again." Even though it was for the most part a threat, a tone of respect sounded in her voice. She looked for Amanda, "If you see the other one, tell her I left, and that she should see me right away."
And then she walked out the door.
As she left, she thought, We'll have to burn this place down soon... She sent one last glance at it and then walked away.
It was time that she went back for Athena. As far as she knew, no one really needed to know of that place, but she'd have to speak to Darius about it. Sooner or later, if those spirits weren't gone, which she suspected was right, that place could be used towards their advantage.

 

The Cloaked man allowed himself a quiet chuckle. He put his goggles back on and walked up the stairs to find Amanda. Just as he thought, death and curses still hung themselves on the very air of the lobby.

The Cloaked Man tossed Amanda's cross to her. "You can do little in your current state, and it would be wise for you to return to your flock." He spoke. "You have done well and proved yourself wrong as well. Is what you did in the basement anything short of a miracle?"

The chains started to rattle again. "There is no time, you must leave now. I can't protect both of us here. But before you go... what is your name?"

 

Amanda looked to the Man and held herself. She looked to the chains and whispered "Amanda". Amanda looked to the cross and smiled. She took the human's hand and felt his warmth against her cold hands. She placed the cross in it and closed his hands against it. “I think it would be better and safer if you kept a cross with you. Amanda looked up to look into the man’s eye’s and locked on. "What is your name?"

<I wish this moment with him would last forever.. wait... he’s a human!... like my mother.>

Amanda looked to the vampires on the floor and tried to hide her thought from the human. Amanda didn't wait for a responce for fear of him hearing her thought and moved towards them to help the fallen vampires. Amanda suddenly felt ill and felt like she was going to collapse. She looked to the other vampires and ran towards them despite her pain. When she reached them, she tried to grab hold of them both to drag them to the safety of the basement.

 

"What? What's going... on?" Charliase rubbed her eyes and rubbed her neck. She felt a trace of blood leading to a large bite. "What he do?!" Charliase watched that girl from before enter the room. "You there! You need to help me!"

 

Raziel stood up and the pain passed. "Charliase, are you okay?" Raziel asked.

 

"What?! You're not supposed to be okay. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD!" Charliase was shocked and taken back. "This doesn't make sense." She ran upstairs, and saw that cloaked man and suddenly started to hear voices in her head.
