"What are you doing up there!?" Charliase shrieked. "God, you're dumb." Charliase said. "I'll be there in a second!" Charliase started running and jumped, landing on the roof. "Happy?" Charliase caught her breath. "That's exhausting. I got Amanda some fresh blood, now get on my back and I'll take you back to the ground."

 

Amanda looked back to Raziel and shook her head then looked back down and saw that the human was near the diner. When the clocked man entered, Amanda jumped down and walked slowly behind him and followed his sent. Amanda went in and took her Katana out and held it pointing downward and watched the man continue not without knowing of her presence.

Amanda kneeled back against the wall and spoke while she looked down. "Who are you looking for, Sir?" Amanda looked up at the human. "Is there a reason you sneak around in fear? Or are you..." Amanda smirked "...in hiding from blood suckers?" Amanda tried to use her human form as much as possible. "I haven't been able to see a human for miles and miles. What are you doing here?" Amanda tried to hide her vampire form and her deathly white face from the man.

She suddenly felt pity for him and shook her head. Amanda looked down <Why is my vampire side not wanting his blood? I don’t feel the want to kill him. My vampire side is subsiding. I feel... I feel as a human may feel. I can't harm this man.> Amanda looked not as a vampire but like a human with tan cheeks.. and she knew it... she felt her body start to burn up, the same temperature as if after a kill. <What is happening? His presence and will is...> Amanda sat down where she was and wondered. <Is my presence as a human would be? does he feel that I am a human.. or a vamp...?> Amanda looked up and saw a mirror... Like looking into a human, she looked tan with blue eyes. Looks like a picture of her mother, but she looked to herself speechless.

 

Setsaki looked deeply towards his front door, "Well, I have no right to argue. Do as you must but with all of your being, please protect Athena and Reina."

As he looked down towards the floor, Setsaki sighed, "I don't know what it going to become of me anymore. I just don't know. I guess I will continue to live, but before I die, I must see Darius one final time. Then I will cease to interfere with your lives."

When Setsaki finished talking, he grabbed a sword from his rack of them. He got two silver .45 longbarrels and a good amount of ammo for them. Also, he got his trench coat and then walked to the door. "We will see each other I believe, again, but we will have different goals. Come now, I must start my journey as well."

Setsaki put on very dark sunglasses and opened the door and looked back at Leon and gave a faint smile.

 

Amanda was just greeted with icey silence. The cloaked man was nowhere to be seen in the diner, and the overwhelming stench of death and blood hid his scent well. A human was here alright. He was listening as well, she could tell, but he was out of sight at the moment.

Suddenly one of the chains from the ceiling started to raddle. It jerked in all directions whipping back and fourth. It was almost as if something were attached to the bottom. It was if something that once hung from it was convulsing. While the chains rattled away, the sound of the scraping of knives could be heard as well as laughter. No, not heard. Amanda could *feel* someone laughing. Just as suddenly as it started it stopped.

There was a sound, faint at first, but it grew slightly louder. Whimpering. Yes, it was unmistakingly the whimpering of a child. It was coming from behind the kitchen, or, rather, from underneath it. The cries of a child came from the basement.

 

"Thanks for the help, but let's get back to Amanda," Raziel said.

Raziel walked with Charliase towards the diner. Raziel smirked "Oh look, she's making a friend."

 

Amanda looked down to the floor and saw in the crusted dried blood.. bootprints from the cloaked man. She decided to follow them. Amanda started to walk slowly when she stopped and heard the whimpering. <What is the man doing?>

Amanda started to walk faster following each step as fast as a normal vampire would. <Looks like my speed and my senses didn't leave me.> Her blue eyes made her an obvious target for any vampires present.

She stopped right behind the man and looked at him. Amanda put her Katana away and said, "You never answered my question." She looked to his prints on the floor, "Everywhere you go you leave a trail, whether it is scent or it is footprints. You must be more careful." <Did I just tell a human to be CAREFUL?>

She leaned back against a nearby wall and watched the man to take in every movement, detail, and skill. Amanda heard foot steps from above her. <Ohh great the other vampires, they are coming this way.>

"You know, a vampire can smell live human blood for miles, you may think that the stench will cover your blood, but live human blood smells sweet, they can hear your blood pulse threw your body as loud as thunder." <Why am I telling him all of this?>

"Best thing to do is keep moving." Amanda went and followed the sound to the locker and looked all around to find it. <Where is this noise coming from?> Amanda looked to the left and saw a locker that was shaking. She walked over and smelled a human other than the man.

 

"There's something wrong with that girl, Amanda- is that what you call her?" Charliase cracked her knuckles. "So what's the game plan? Are we going to follow her or grab a bite to eat?" Charliase felt somewhat annoyed. She was not going to get what she wanted, or anything at all. "I'm hungry, I'm mostly human- not my fault, is it?"

 

"Well, I was thinking we go in and sit near her but act as if we don't know her so we can make sure she gets her blood." Raziel said. "Don't want to be suspicious around that hunter with her, hope she knows that." Raziel walked in and sat across from her.

 

The cloaked man, from under his shawl, stared at the female vampire Amanda for a moment, and then he turned towards the locker. He said not a word to Amanda, instead, he walked to the locker and put his hand on it. He sighed deeply, as if he regretted something.

He turned back to face Amanda. "I do not fear the demon horde. I do not 'sneak', I evade. I bide my time." He spoke solumnly, his voice carried the itself as belonging to one who was gentle yet powerful.

He turned back towards the locker. "I will not leave, while she still lingers here. I cannot abandon this lost child. She has already suffered the agony of her death, and I will not allow her soul to be defiled further by the dark rituals of the demons."

He pulled down his shawl, his dark-lens goggles once again focusing on Amanda. "You are a she-demon, that I can tell from the dark aura that hangs off you, yet you come not with the intent to do violence. Are you running? Are you running from your demon kin... or are you running from the human you once were?"

 

Roneri stopped, and switched her attention from Athena. Her senses were going wild, and she could smell human blood near by. She felt her senses sharpen and her body switch to hunt mode, as if in reflex. She looked around, and shouted to Athena, who still wasn't aware of her presence, "Stay with Leon. You got it?"

She didn't wait for Athena's answer. She turned around and began moving to where the smell was coming from. She didn't move to a run though. She didn't feel the need. She just strolled silently in the shadows, as she did before all the commotion took place. She neared the diner, and all she could smell was blood, the smell of old, rotten blood being over powered by new, fresh blood. Just the thought made her grin. She walked in, easily pinpointing Amanda and the hunter. But she stayed out of sight. No one knew she was there, and that was good. She would just follow there conversation for a while. But most of all, she'd watch the hunter. She sent thoughts out to Darius.
Darius...I've found a hunter. Should I take care of him... she grinned, or can I play with him for a while?
Her senses were still pulsing to their peek, and Roneri could feel her vampiric strength filling. But she didn't use it. She would wait until she heard from Darius.

 

Amanda looked at him. "I do not RUN." Amanda looked at him with fire in her eyes. Amanda licked her teeth. "Maybe I should just feast on you and get it over with," Amanda tried to force herself to want his blood, but she didn’t feel the need to feed, like she was a human. She looked at him and took her Katana out and placed it against his neck and smirked. "Let's see who will run, hunter." She felt no need to harm him, not even to save him from others or herself. "I am half human..I thirsted from the first day...I was born a vamp...I will die a vamp.. I was born half dead."

<Who is this hunter kidding, I do not want to harm him. Why? Why can't I feel..the way I did before...I don’t feel like I ever thirsted...>

 

The cloaked man took a step closer, and Amanda found her face a mere two inches from his. The blade still pressed across his throat, the as yet un-named man spoke, his hot breath brushing up against her face, "No one is born half dead. You feel or you do not feel. What separates the demons from the humans is the fact that the demons are dead to the world. All they have are memories of emotions. Love. Hate. Regret. Loss. Joy. To them... to your flock, those things are meaningless, yet priceless."

The man spread his arms out wide, and continued. "All they have are memories of the life they once lead. Memories from when they were human. They can't feel anything, so they rely on what they remember about being human. They strive to remember how they felt when they still had a *Soul*."

His arms dropped back to his sides. "You are different. You are in turmoil. You try to run from your soul because the demon inside you... fears it."

For the first time, the pale cloaked man smiled. His smile was genuine, sincere. "No, she-demon. You are not dead. You are very much alive."

 

"Your boy has been in there for quite some time. Maybe something's wrong?"

"I agree, perhaps I underestimated him, but he is slow." Darius said.

Darius could feel the presences gathering around them. In nearby eatery a man of God, who worried Darius, and some familiar minions of his gathered. Roneri and Athena also approached the scene. Inside the manor he felt they were holding palaver. But these were only of secondary concern to the one listening to them, their smell was masked by Vincent’s but still present.

Darius's muscle tightened and his senses sharpened in anticipation of a battle. "Be on guard." Darius said to Vincent although he was sure this warning was unnecessary.

Darius received a mental request from Roneri, and in return sent the telepathic equivalent of a nod telling her to do as pleased.

"Lord Darius, I am sorry for my delay in returning but I lost Athena and Reina in the underground tunnels then it took me awhile to find my way out of that maze. Please forgive me for my incompetence." said a voice from behind Darius.

He turned and saw that it was Darien. Darius was surprised that he hadn't noticed him but realized the extended stay in the sewer had masked his scent. He was a bit annoyed by his extended disappearance, but was glad to have him at his side.

"Your incompetence is made up for by your synchronicity." Darius said. Then explained "We are waiting for Leon to emerge and invite us in. But he may have turned. But there is something else we must worry about."

He scanned the environs for the one who was watching them. "Olly olly oxen free, little girl."

 

Roneri grinned.
Go time... she thought.
She stood up, making them aware of her presence, "Well, aren't you intelligent." She said, looking at the cloaked man. She walked over, and stopped about two feet away, "Tell me, have you ever been a vampire, and by some miracle, you were changed back?" She asked sarcastically, grunting after the word 'miracle'.
She smiled and lifted her hand, lifting her pointing finger into the air, "I'm afraid there is one flaw in your 'studies'. We do feel and we don’t only have memories."
She took another step, "We feel both negativity, and positive emotions, and we understand them."
She turned around and stared al the wall for a moment, and turned around again, "We just don’t care."
She took a final step in front of him and lifted Amanda's Katana from his neck. She looked at him, straight into the eye, "And we enjoy it." The last words were in a whisper.
She noticed she was rambling, but then ignored the fact. She smiled and took a step back, and then kicked him in the gut, "Just thought I'd straighten that out before I killed you."

 

Raziel watched as Roneri walked in. He tried to conceal himself by hiding behind the menu. "I wonder what she is doing here, and I hope she does not kill. I wanted to....oh this isn't fair," he thought.

 

Amanda looked at her and shook her head "No. I was Never Human. I never had a miracle happen to me, and never will." Amanda looked at the man, that now had felt pain from the blow. "You are right, I do feel.. much more then you ever will, only because I care. If you didn’t care then why did you look to Raziel that way? But then again you just did leave him."

Amanda pushed the hunter back against the wall, "It's rude to take some one else’s dinner. Now if you don’t mind, I haven’t finished with him just yet."

Amanda looked to the hunter <A hunter should know better, he’s not even fighting back..>

Amanda started to feel coldness go threw her veins, she lost feeling of heat. Her eyes went back to red. She put her Katana back on the hunters neck. "Leave us."

Amanda sneered at Roneri reveling one fang. "I’ll be out in a moment, go to Raziel".

"Wait....before you go....be sure you care for the one you love, never leave his side.. I shall be able to last a while with this hunters blood. Go to Athena."

<I get kills on my own, that is, if I kill him.>

 

*is soo confused and lost, its not funny*

Vincent glared at the house, "That's it. I'm getting annoyed."

He then began summoning flames around the house and that would spread to the inside.

"Let's just hope your boy likes the heat..." He muttered with a smirk.

 

The cloaked man stared into Amanda's eyes. He reached up and took off his goggles, and Amanda saw for the first time his dark red eyes. He looked as if he was going to say something, but his head snapped to the side. The locker the "child" was in started shaking once again, but this time more violently.

"это собирается быть плохим," the cloaked man muttered.

The locker pulled itself from the wall, breaking free from the concrete restraints. Rocking back and forth, the locker made it way to position itself between Amanda and Roneri, where it stopped moving.

Giggles, those of a child, came from inside the rusted, blood-smeared locker. The locker door faced Roneri, and for a moment, the female vampire could have swore she saw the eyes of a child between the vent of the locker, but they quickly disappeared with another giggle. The door to the basement slammed shut and sealed itself with a force so supernaturally powerful, even strong vampires couldn't hope to budge it.

"Не откройте ЭТО! Будьте ОСТОРОЖНЫ!!" He shouted at Roneri, reverting back to his native tongue out of habit.

Meanwhile, in the lobby at the ground level, Raziel's hiding spot behind the menu started taking on a new form all itself. Instead of the food the down-and-out diner once served, the menu board's letters shifted to read "I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!" over and over again. Perhaps, even more miracluously, even though there had been no electrical power that went into the diner for decades, the sign lit up with a blinding light. The security door slammed down, sealing the lobby's occupents from the outside world. The chains began to rattle once again....

 

Charliase looked over the menu. Something was happening to Raziel, she could see his eyes poping out. "What's going on?" She whispered. The things got worse and there was a lot of noise. Everyone else looked worried as well, then the plates started to rattle. Charliase closed her eyes, and reopened them, but her eyes only showed the whites. "It's starting..."

 

Setsaki smelled the flames and rushed outside. "DARIUS!!! How dare you impead this ground! What right have you to do this? NONE!"

He glared at Darius and Vincent, eyes fit to kill.
